not sure put if in front and see what happens
Okay this is getting ridiculous. None of the XML editing I do has any effect. I even tried messing around with a totally different sound, but still had no success. I tried using Final Big (the version that supports .meg files) to work with the Meg itself, but nothing, nothing I try works. I don't get it. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
name your sound different like vader_call.wav and code the smaple as this Data\Audio\SFX\vader_call.WAV and don't i repeat don't put it in a meg and if the does not work I'm out of ideas then ps make sure the sound is in the correct file to if you code the sfx part but don't have the wav file in the sfx file it will not work
I haven't tried that yet, I'm working on the music first. But to be honest, I saw that each character has like 50 different voice tags....and after looking at that I got kind of disheartened. Good luck to you.
ok Crunchy frog, put the following in the Sfx XML file, Preset_UR Data/Audio/SFX/[NAME OF AUDIO FILE] TEXT_SFX_VAD_SHIP_RESPAWN_1 Unit_Vader the name is changed so that it doesnt conflict with the original SFXEvent, Because the name is changed you will have to change the name in the Unique Units XML, for vaders ability SFXEvent, Unit_Respawn_Vader_Ship_Edited you may also have to change this line in Vaders Container.
Hello again, sorry it's taken me so long to respond, but I haven't had access to my computer in the past couple days. I'll try doing what you suggest right away, but I was just wondering before I do, what do you mean by Vader's Container? Also, will following this basic procedure work for any sound I want to edit?
Okay, I tried doing the first two things you said, and it still didn't work, so what is Vader's container? Maybe changing that is the final piece of the puzzle, but the problem is I don't know what it is.
Okay I found the file CONTAINERS.XML, which I'm guessing is what you were talking about. However, when I look in that file and find the section relating to Vader, the only stuff I find pertaining to Vader's TIE abilities is this: REPLENISH_WINGMEN And that doesn't mention anything about sound effects.
