I've been playing EaW FoC mods recently and a lot of them have a different main menu battle than the original game. I've been modding a bit too but I still haven't figured out how on earth they changed them. How does one go about doing it? Do I edit a specific XML file? Or is it something else? I'd like to know because I'm sick of seeing the stock battle with the Zann Consortium wiping the floor with the Rebels.
Its in gameconstants.xml , look for the tag "Demo_Attract_Maps" and just add the maps for example this is what i have done for my mod

They appear in the same order as they are entered here . Most of the ones i use are From rise of the mandalorians mod . You can also edit musicevents.xml , so each map will have its own music
I don't know how to change what is spawned but I do know how to place more units in the main menu battle by opening it up in the Map Editor. The main backdrop battle is called Demo_Attract_Kamino.ted.
You can make ANY battle style movie for the main menu. Just create a relatively small map and place your wanted units within "line-of-sight" of each other and then save it as something useful. Then change the filename in the XML file suggested by blackmoon11 and your good to go. You don't need to put starting positions as they won't be used.
