does any1 know if it's possible to make it so that like when a unit in a squadron dies the unit stays dead? like when you enter the next battle not have the full squadron again but have the units that died gone like for good until the squadron is respawned or rebuilt. same goes for damaging capital ships, i think it would add a lot of strategy if cap ships could stay damaged at the end of a battle instead of being regenerated
I'm sure there is a way, when i was trying to mod the SSD for my mod, it would always come into battle damaged from the last battle. i cant remember what i did tho, i'll try to remember and get back to you.
I think i know how. it will be in v2.1 :D
if you know how but arent even going to tell me and just taunt me don't even post...
Be patient, he said he THINKS he knows, would you rather him to post incorrect data and stuff you up? or would you rather wait and get the correct data for what you need?
incorrect data is still something to work with, I don't even know where to start looking
and ya i guess i do have some time, seeing that bailknight is taking his sweet little time to message me back saying if i can use his models or not...
i guess that makes 2 of us waiting for bailknight to reply to us.
try to remove data from the unit you want to have permanent damage for, when i tryed to give the rebels the SSD i just cut and pasted certain things and it seemed to work, although i dont know what i left out, thats what you might need to do.
or you could have deleted a hardpoint and it was destroyed ingame u just didnt notice it the first time... i don't know going in blind like that would be way to frustrating for me, moding is simple when you stay in safe territory, but as soon as you drift away into unknown space it becomes hard... o well maybe my best bet is to do wut you said, unless its not possible
well maybe, who knows...... if what HLBMXR said is true, than it is possible. you might just have to wait for his mod to come out and see what he did, that is if he isnt gonna tell you.
so many "if"s in life, for all we care what he meant by "i think" is that he saw a set of coding that looked like it could fit the picture
