I'm suprised that nobody created such topic :o As I see, many of us, noobs, ask simple questions that requires simple answers. Isn't it easier to combine them in one thread?

So here I start:

1. AFAIK, Legacy of War is dead. What about models from this mod? Where can I ask for permission to use some of them? I'm asking specificaly about Dreadnought and Lancer from LoWFoCaddon0.7

2. I know (I think :P) how to pick specific weapons to be fired from specific location. How to change their arc of fire? Do I have to care for XY or XYZ axis?

Feel free to ask simple questions yourself ;)

1- Stewie, the forum Mod here, is part of Low ask him, though he has turned a bunch of people down 2- i can't remember to save the life of me

i actually tried this here when i was a noob, didn't catch on, maybe it will this time, there is like 50 new thread all about simple questions, its really bogging up the forum

Could someone explain the following values?

3.5 2.0 2.5 1.0 5.0 40 300.0

What is the diffrence between Rate of Turn and Rate of Roll? Why do fighters have min speed? What is Bank Turn Angle?

BTW, I'm quite into my mod tomorrow, I should post something probably tomorrow ;)

3.5 Obviously this is Max speed for the unit 2.0 Not sure why they have a minimum 2.5 Speed while in turn 1.0 How quick it can accellerate 5.0 Speed of "roll" in turn 40 Amount of "roll" in turns 300.0 Not really sure.

since someone has started a quick questions thread :) i noticed in the thrawn mod thread about models acting as reinforcement points. woild it be possible to give a unit like of i dunno a feild commander a special ability to set a reinforcement point at his location that let's you bring down 1 extra unit from orbit?

Yes, if you want other things to do what something does, just add in the lines that cause that. Reinforcement points are in markers.xml. It would be interesting to use a unit as a reinforcement point, as long as you don't give it too much or too little additional pop cap.

well what i had in mind was something long the line of like the at-at's ability to drop extra fot troops have it so a feild commander say has all infantry on the planet and runs into tanks could use his ability so that a unit of armour for could be deployed or basically anything that was in orbit. make it so it only adds 1 unit and only be usable every 5 minutes or so to make sure it isn't a throw away wasted kind of thing

Well.... I have a question. I'm a complete noob (or newb) in every sense of the word. So, as for the question: How do I create units with a new skin, new model, and uniqe stats? P.S. Don't laugh. As I said: I'm a newb.

use a modeling program to create the unit, get a photoshop to make the texture(s), use an xml editor to code the unit in and look at other units xml to see what abilities you want it to have
