Hi there guys! I've got something useful for you again: the Realistic Galaxy. Planets are placed in correct points in the galaxy, and the galaxy is way larger and therefore has realistic traveling times. I'm not quite done yet, and I've only just begon with a proper Galactic Conquest set-up for it, so it will take a while till it's done. Here are four screenies to show you what I've done so far:

LIST OF CHANGES (SO FAR):

- Realistic Planet spots (I got them from Phoenix Rising, I'll need their permission first). - New route colors: - Blue indicates a normal route, so no credit profit. - Red indicated a normal enemy route, also no credit - Green indicates a profit route, gives you money. - Orange route (not added yet), gives the enemy money. - Pretty obvious, new routes between planets (not completely done). - Factions (including pirates) start with their planets loyal to them. Others might have their own creep faction, or will have pirates, or will be neutral.

READ CARFULLY: IT'S ONLY FOR REGULAR EAW, NOT FOR FOC! I'm not playing FoC anymore, since it's going to lag as hell. I might make a version for FoC later.

It feels that I'm one of the most busiest people on this forum, if not the busiest.

You really should at least keep them from overlapping. Also if your expanding the map area, rescale the planet "galaxy_core_art.alo" to fit the new planet mapping.

ya i have to agree with sidious there. you want to be able to click the planet on the minimap. also i have a good pic of the galaxy which ill post if i can get it up with in my edit time.

I retextured the galaxy base here for FX mod, but then cut it for obvious reasons. However, you might be able to salvage it and make it look good. If you want it, I can PM this to you.

Looks great, this is the second eaw mod I know of(that's in production,the other being GPHU) and could you tell us about features you will implant would be nice.

When plotting planets I use the following site for reference, it may come in handy: Star Wars Atlas The maps not only include many planets but they also include faction ownership areas showing which planets where apart of what groups during different time periods ie. Imperial Space, Republic Space, Sith Empire, Hutt Space, Zsinj Empire, etc.

Here's another map of the galaxy. It's not much different from the one simplestarwarsfan posted (because it's the same galaxy). This one is nice because it is a top down view, and there's a distance legend, and it even tells you what one pixel is equal to.

Invisible, do you have any problems with fleets making their own, strange routes, unspecified in xml code? I repositioned all planets some time ago (basing on the map the_stag posted) and sometimes even making hundreds of routes didn't prevent fleets from making strange travels. Eg. when I moved fleet from Coruscant to Manaan it travelled through Atzerri (when it should get there through Kuat).

And by the way here's something I made around then which might help you. It's a map which has same planet order as the map mentioned before but I left only planets from FoC + ones I added.
