I noticed that when you draw a selection box around several spaceships in tactical combat mode, the menu automatically puts the units in groups in the menu bar. Sometimes it's somewhat logical and it puts fighters and bombers together, and corvettes in another group, but in other cases it puts K-Wings in one group and B-Wings and carriers together in another group. Or something like that.

Does anyone know where you can define this?

My guess is through Capital , capital or Capital | AntiFrigate in the unit's XML.

Something like that was my guess, too, but unfortunately it is not: for the TIE Fighter and the TIE Droid these are all the same (except Space_Layer: that tag is not present in the squadron's nore the fighter's xml), but they're not being grouped together.
