Yes this is modding related.

I would like to have some feedback from the community on what ships would you think a modern (GCW era) Sith navy would be composed of.

I am definitely using Warb's Sith Destroyer and OMG's Sith fighter, but im at a loss on what else to use. I am also planning on using some of the EX-Consortium's ships... such as the vengeance and Krayt.

Go wild, I need ideas.

Hmm, some reskinned Star Destroyers or Super Star Destroyer/s might fit in well. You basically have "free usage" of any ship that can be used. If the sith were to have surived, they would/could have a varity of ships, rebel, emperial, and consortium ships. Another crazy idea would be a black skin version of a Mon Calamari for the sith.

Yea i was thinking of the star destroyer.

Heres the backstory of the Sith faction i will be adding:

In 5000 BBY, the Sith starship Omen crashed-landed on the planet of Kesh. The survivors of the crash eventually formed the Lost Tribe of Sith. Over thousands of years, this Tribe multiplied into a substantial force. Shortly after the Second Galactic Civil War the Sith of the Lost Tribe were ready to fulfill their destiny and take on a weakened galaxy. In 41.5 ABY they made contact with Ship, the Sith Meditation Sphere awoken by Ben Skywalker on Ziost one year earlier. The vessel informed the Lost Tribe of the destruction of the Sith, and began to train the younger Sith for a war against the weakened galaxy. After two years the Sith had assembled a small fleet of ships, including the rebuilt Omen. Meanwhile, in the Kathol Rift, Jedi Grand Master Luke Skywalker touched the Codex, an Aing-Tii artifact that enhanced his presence in the Force, and alerted the Tribe to the threat that he presented to them. Ship left shortly thereafter, and the Tribe quickly put together a team to find Ship and kill Skywalker.

quoted from Wookieepedia

Now if anyone wants to give me a list I'll be willing to listen.

I would use the Pellaeon-class personally over the ISD, mainly because the concept art for the Old Republic shows sith ships almost identical to the Pellaeon concept art from the legacy era so you could make up a name and say its the OR one. Also maybe some KOTOR-era ships if you could get hold of some. Mandolorian if possible due to their alliance with the sith. I think any faction should have a unique feel to them, so I wouldn't use primary units from any CW or GCW factions if you can help it. Another little idea, if you do have KOTOR ships, maybe they could be weaker then GCW ships but far more in number due to their age.

Haha you think just like me =p

The pellaeon is already on the unit list, as well as the leviathan. The Consortium will either be removed or completely redone in my mod. So the Sith will probably get to keep their ships for the "Unique" feel.

Also, the Mando's will be a big part of that faction. I like the idea of KotoR ships being less powerful than GCW ships, but as its and era based mod it will make it kind of unbalanced. I guess I'll give them weaker shielding and/or armor and heavy firepower.

Sounds great. I looked at the quote you posted on wookieepedia. I also looked at the planet and major city info. I went even furhter and looked at the info on Sith of the Lost Tribe and the fleet that the Tribe built. It seems that this would be a good basis, but it may require new models. If at anything include ships from the old republic to the current gcw. These would include: Star Destroyer Edited-Tie Fighers (I think warb null made some) Recusant Destroyer (seen in Return of the Clones mod) Rescusant Patrol Victory II The edited Victory with more bones I think it's possible to reskin some space units to make them look like Mandolorian but i still have to learn how to skin.

True, but you need to make or rig a Basilisk war droid, since to my knowledge, there is no such model for Empire at War.

I have both those recusants already =]

the rest of those ships have already been taken by other factions. I like the basillisk but I barely managed to rig my Aleph... i cant imagine rigging a basilisk :uhm:

there's a basilisk in AOSW, that is not ingame, that can be modded ingame. i think it's only partially rigged, though. i was unable to make it move. still, if you get permission, it's a start. there are also lots of mandalorian ships, both canon, and not. these include the Kyramud, Jehaveyir, Lictor-class, and Shadow-class. the mod "Honor's Call" also has a lot of mando ships. however, as AOSW's forums are dead, i don't know where you'd find it, and also don't know where you'd find the maker. you could also include the sith meditation sphere "ship" if you wanted, but i don't know where you'd find a model, or how you'd really implement it.
