So I haven't done any modding for a while and Iv'e decided to come back and extend my knowledge of modding, so to start off with I have decided to make a new AI based faction that will fight a team/teams.

Iv'e got all the basics and so forth but i'm having a bit of trouble with the scripting, basically I don't want the AI to be able to move to other planets but I want them to be tactical in space and land instead of them sitting on idle.

Also I have had a look at some other mods with new factions and units that are used tactically by the AI, however no new .lua files were added. Where did he tell the unit priorities?

I hope that these questions haven't been asked before I don't like wasting peoples time thnx for any help I get.

I'm not certain but I there is an Aggressiveness rating for each faction somewhere. Would reducing it to 0 help? I probably know less then you since I gave up modding for the second time a couple months back.

It sounds like it would, the new faction AI are currently doing nothing in combat or in GC and i'm clueless as to how to change it.

its in an AI script, I deon't remember what, I uninstalled be EaW game... I have no idea why i'm in this forum then... whatever

Alright iv'e made progress, missed the field in the Factions.xml, which lead me to the files in the players folder under AI in the xml folder. Also the Agressiveness thing is in those xml's in the players folder.
