_237th_SC_Com_Bly;5267784i have the same problem with paint.net you need to make the aplha texture black, as far as i know but i don't know how.

For alpha layers in paint.net you need to download a plugin, this was my response to you Bly in the comments section of my reskin pack, bc I understand you were also having trouble seeing the actual texture:

Download this plugin pack: Paint.NET; View topic - Tanel's Photo and Color Plugins (2009-11-02)

Once installed, open up the texture you want to edit, go to Effects--> Color-->Color to Alpha, then in the window that opened up check the box that says "Invert Alpha" then you should be able to see the texture.

Once you're done editing the texture then go back to "Color to Alpha" and while keeping the "Invert Alpha" box checked raise the "Base Opacity" all the way up to 255, you should no longer see the texture but you should see a white and grey checker board. Then just save the texture as a dds and you're done.
