Hi everyone. Would it be possible to add a line to the following code to make the ownership of a certain planet a pre-requsite to the unit spawning AS WELL as having reached a particular Tech Level.? STORY_TRIGGERUNIQUE_UNIT(Unit_Name)(Some_Random_Planet)Rebels_Enter_Tech_03 If this is not possible I would like a way of making it so that I can only have one of this particular unit (A variant of a Venator) at a time in Galactic conquest; in the same way that you can only have one Grand Admiral Thrawn at a time in Skirmish mode. Thanks in advance.

Sorry perhaps I didnt explain properly. The above code is what I have now, and I was looking to change the 'prereq' line to something that meant this trigger would only activate once a team conquered a certain planet.

so, you mean that a planet is conquered and then should spawn a unit ?

then:

STORY_CONQUER(radomplanet)FILTER_FRIENDLY_ONLYUniversal_Story_StartSTORY_TRIGGERUNIQUE_UNIT(Unit_Name)(Some_Random_Planet)Conquer_planet

this is that what you need ... if i understood correctly what you want ...

np :) when you have more questions about events etc, just ask. my xml for the events on Frontlines beta 4 is about 4200 rows :D:D so i think i can help much on that thing. for example to pimp your event: conquered the planet unit spawns map centers on that planet the fleet with that new unit is flashing or: conquered the planet message from vader or someone that there is a new unit spawn of unit map centers on planet fleet with that unit is flashing :)

I've started to work on a Story now, and I need some help, so I thought I'd continue on this thread.

What I need to do is have a trigger that, when it activates, displays a message/objective on the screen.

How do I make that happen?

I have been working on a tool that can be used to create story events, would be great if could give it a try while working on your story, I could use some feedback :) Empire at War Story Creator v0.3 - Everything EAW Files

It's still missing some event and reward types, but there's already a lot you can do with it.
