Any help on how to make functional submarine units/where to edit to make this possible?

I was thinking of going in and messing with the whole movement categories of "walk, wheeled, tracked, hover, fly" etc. and creating a "swim", but I can't find where that is.

I'm not worried about them not being able to function on land, I was simply planning on giving them a jet pack ability with a really, really fast movement and a really, really, really long recharge, so that theres a one-time opportunity to place the unit in the water. Either that or I could make it hover on land and "hover" in the water, but hover above the ocean floor, not the water...

Any tips?

Interesting and probably can be made if the water passability on one map is green.

You could make a "movement" class, I did already make a water only movement class. Look in Movementclasstypedefs.xml

Yeah, I was already aware of this idea, but it would be kind of lame since every other unit could do it as well, you know?

Thats true I mean all your troops would be going the water as well. I was thinking of something like this, you'll probably have to mess with the movement.

I do believe with the EaW running system, its impossible to have Underwater Vehicles, You'd have to check with somone who really knows there way around the system, but, other then that, I do not believe its Possible.

As I said before, over water is not a problem, specifing underwater or above will not work.

You could try a workaround, though... Make unit water-only, and then give it stealth ability with animation of going under water. IMO it's not worth the effort, but if you really want to you could try ;)

I could try something with unit classes and jet pack abilities and an unusual hover height, but oh well. I'm good at working around stuff like this, so I'll find a way, though I doubt that'll be as good as I'd like it to be. >_>
