I have created a basic MC80 unit using Home One's basic xml coding, but when I changed the text files, in game they come up as MISSING. I have checked both the mastertext file and the xml coding repeatedly and nothing is out of whack. Anyone have this problem before and know how to fix it?

did you make a new text file in the .dat? If so, is the.Dat? in the right spot?

Yes I have, and yes it is in the correct place. I've saved the file, which should in turn make the changes to the game, but ingame it just comes up as missing.

Have you edited the: TEXT_UNIT_TARTAN_CRUISER on the unit?

Also, if you're running Windows Vista or Windows 7, sometimes editing the .DAT file from your EaW/FoC directory doesn't work

The easiest thing to do would be to copy the mastertext file to your desktop, edit it there and then use it to replace the one in the Data\Text folder.
