I've been using the Absolute Corruption Mod for FoC, but one thing that bugs me is that some new infantry & heroes can't enter bunkers or transports.
So i started messing with the XML files to change it. I figured i needed to add the Garrison_Unit to Land Behavior. It worked, but with strange results. They enter one at a time & seem to multiply when they exit. Their formations are also messed up.. when they land on a planet they are all stacked on top of each other, & when they move, they are outside of the green selection circle.
I've been trying different things through trial & error with no luck. I've searched threads, forums, & looked up modding tutorials & haven't found anything related to this. I'm stumped.
Any ideas how to make a simple thing like this work for this mod?
I figured it out.
By adding the GARRISON_UNIT property to the unit's LandBehavior in the Containers.XML file, it worked. I was adding it to the GroundInfantry.XML & that was causing the weird behavior when exiting/entering bunkers & transports.
I'm guessing it had something to do with the way the shock troopers are set up in the Groundinfantry XML. They are based off a unit called "squad_stormtrooper" which is based off the regular storm troopers.
When i added the GARRISON_UNIT to the Eweb troopers it worked fine & they are not based off of anything. Also, I was able to get the field commanders in bunkers by adding GARRISON_UNIT in the Genericherounits XML.
Now i just have to figure out how to get the major heroes into bunkers....
