Wow, I feel like the only thing I do on this forum is ask questions. No matter, I must finish this mod! I have a few questions that have been really hard to figure out (or at least it is for me).

1. How do I edit the loading title screen on EAW, the first background that you ever see when you start the game?

2. I can't figure this out; I made a new SPACE hero, but his icon for building him pops up in the LAND buildable bar in Galactic Conquest. I tried putting or whatever it was to true in both the NAMEDHEROUNITS file of the hero and the UNIQUEUNITS file of his ship. It didn't work, he's still only buildable in the land bar.

The "loading" screen is actually a pretty small map which has been made so that any space or ground units are fairly close together and all units are preplaced. Theres no defined start points for either side so they just fight it out amongst themselves.

Payne: Wait... what? Oh, I said title screen, I meant loading screen... I'm talking about the screen at the VERY beginning, when it says "STAR WARS: EMPIRE AT WAR" and has all the copyright stuff down at the bottom and the ESRB rating. So, I think I'm looking for a texture file to edit, but I really don't know what it's called...

Kedalbe: Doesn't that just make the unit spawn in the space area above it? My unit always spawns in the space area above it, but for some reason I have to construct the hero on the land build bar.

D3Matt: I believe that that changes the actual row it's in, not a different build tab. So like, if it's 1, the icon for the unit would be in the top row of whatever tab it's set to, and then 2 would be placing the unit in the bottom row.

Don't take my word for this stuff, because I'm just a novice.

1.) The texture file (in the textures.meg) is splash.dds, the main menu texture file is menu_backdrop (or something).dds. 2.) I would keep deleting yes and the no, at least once, and don't put it on the space unit unless your hero is just a unique space unit, otherwise just put it on the company (herocompany). If that fails when deleting it and readding it, try recoding the company, sometimes that works as well. 3.) Yes, the 0 is bottom on whatever tab you're on, and 1 puts it on the top row in whichever tab you're on.

1 Thanks! Found the file.

2 Well, I totally forgot about the company file.

3 Oh ya, I keep forgetting that 0 is a number in coding.

Sorry about the double post.

Let's change the scenario up a bit, what if we were dealing with a Space Unit (not a hero)? This is very confusing, simply because I copied the Calamari Cruiser XML file, changed up the file to fit my ship's description, and then ran the game to see that the build icon for my ship showed up on land.

I don't get why it's not working, nothing that could change the tab that it's built in is different from the Calamari Cruiser and my unit. This is very hard to figure out, and it makes no sense at all, please help me out here.

So the unit is still appearing in the land tab, even though it's a space unit?
