It's not completely done yet, but I decided to release it anyways. Most of the work put into this version focusses on land battles.

About the mod: This mod aims at making the gameplay as realistic as possible to the books and movies

Installation: Simply unzip the file into ...\Empire at War\GameData\

Changes: Beta 2 Space: -Added SSD -Fixed some improper damage values

Land: -AT-AT's made immune to most types of lasers -Rescaled all Rebel and Imperial structures -Rescaled most units

Beta 1 Space: -All fighter squadrons now have 12 fighters -Fighters carry appropriate secondary weapons -Proton torpedos have increased damage, do not pass through shields, and can be used against fighters -Ships are scaled correctly -Ships have accurate hull and shield values -B-Wing and TIE Interceptors squadrons have been added -Lasers now do accurate amounts of damage(for the most part) -Firing rates for most ships have been changed(mostly faster)

Land: -X-Wings, TIE Fighters, Corellian Corvettes, Tartan Cruisers, and Acclamators have been made available for use in land battles -Most vehicles and infantry have been scaled properly -Infantry now die more easily

Notes: Playing on the original maps is not recommended. Due to the rescaling, building placement is out of whack, and it takes quite a while to get your units accross the map.s

Known Issues: -TIE Interceptor's textures don't show up -Space units in land battles have a few issues that need to be worked out -Not all descriptions are included -SSD causes severe stuttering when assigned to attack targets out of range -Not all units and buildings rescaled -Not all weapons have correct ranges

I'll check this out i was gonna try out your 1'st beta but this isn't a bad way to start i'll get back to you on any critiques.

here are the things i found while playing the empire in skirmish

~Pod walkers need to be resized ~The lambada shuttle needs to be resized(for ground) ~Acclamator shouldn't be available for ground seeing as it's too large for most maps to call it in for reinforcements. ~The ground commander in his unit is smaller than normal stormtroopers you might want to look into that. ~I may be wrong but i think the tartan cruiser is larger than it's supposed to be. ~Also i believe you need to make the buildings a bit bigger as they are now they are abit on the small side.

I know the SSD is large, but people wanted it. I haven't done any scaling to the pirates, or indigenous life forms, or many of the props for that matter. The buildings are a bit small yes, but I scaled them based on personnel and vehicle doors.

ya this mod is awesome altho it suks that the Acclamators cant fire thro the base sheild and when u get the chance try to make the Nebulon-B avaiable for the Rebels also the Victory for the Empire , and then again the Alliance Assult Frigate.

Is there any issues with the beta2 and patch5? I just downloaded the beta 2, and my unmodded game works fine, several other mods that I test work fine, but upon attempting to load this mod, I get an exception caught error and it crashes? All mods installed in seperate directory and using the MODPATH= shortcut to run (won't install any mod that can't be run that way).

Odd. I haven't tested it with 1.05 yet, or with MODPATH. My hunch though is that you didn't get the recording file(Front_End_Demo_Attract_Land.rec) into your recording folder. I changed the background of the main menu to a ground battle, because the space battle was getting a bit old. Try that, and see if it works. If you'd like me to change it back to a space battle in the next release, let me know, and I'll be happy to do it.
