For some reason certain models in my ALO viewer show up green with no skin and no animations on the main mesh. (The shadows and sometimes other meshes move, but the biggest part of the model usually will not animate) There doesn't seem to be much of a pattern, I've noticed this with the Rancor, Vornskyr, AT-ST, and most models created by modders. It's not a big problem, but it would make skinning and animation testing way easier if it were fixed. Has anyone else had this problem? I almsot forgot, the alo viewer log only says this:

[16:28] Selected depth/stencil format for device: D24S8 [16:31] Loading model F:\Program Files\LucasArts\FoC\Data\Models.meg|DATA\ART\MODELS\AI_RANCOR.ALO [16:31] Unable to load effect RSkinBumpColorize.fx: An undetermined error occurred: [16:31] F:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War\GameData\Data\Art\Shaders\RSkinBumpColorize.fx(181,14): error X1507: failed to open source file: '3dsmax_fix.fxh' [16:31]

It's a problem with your shaders. For whatever reason, the viewer is not loading the default shaders, which is why the models appear geen. I don't know why animations aren't working though.

If you're talking about the game selection drop down menu at the top, I do have that set to the right mod. In fact, I get the green skin with normal Empire at War looking at normal models! By 'message log' I meant the panel at the bottom that lists errors.

First off, do you have the latest version of it - http://modtools.petrolution.net/tools/AloViewer If you already do then something i recommend you do is load the "first" model, then load a different model and lastly, load the first model again. I've had this problem before but when i load one model then a different and go back to the first model i loaded every other model after that works. It's quite odd but it works for me...let me know how it goes. Best of luck.

I do have the latest version- actually, strangely I only have this problem with the latest version. I've tried loading other models and reloading. It didn't seem to work, but I can tell I'm having the same problem you have, so I'll try again. Thanks.

The ALO viewer seems to look in certain locations for the shaders. If it cant locate them then your gonna be in a pickle.
