So... I figure I'll be making known my 'finished' maps and let it be known that I'm semi-taking requests for map making, single-player, that is. I'm not as good as Encladous, but I like to consider myself pretty good.

Maps I have done/are pretty far:

(level of *'s represents how good I think it is)

Planets I've made : [land] **** Polus (redone) ***** Raxus Prime (redone version of Wayland, but way beyond the point of recognition) ***** Fest (absolutely beautiful in my opinion :D see picture below!) *** Lehon (a very small map, it's actually a redone version of the Bothawui intimidation map) ** Chorax (from Rogue Squadron, it was the "Search For The Nonnah" level planet) **** Duros (redone Honoghr, however, several parts of the level have been altered, significantly changing the gameplay) *** Gall (from Shadows of the Empire, it's a moon that orbits the gas giant Zhar, has mostly-good layout, but lacking in textures and objects) *** Kessel (redone, unfinished, but looking nice) *** Gerrard V (from Rogue Squadron, good, but feels a bit plain to me) **** Balmorra (great map so far, but I don't feel it's finished yet, even though it's fully working) ** Jade Moon (from Rogue Squadron, looks 'accurate' and sort of nice, but definitely lacking play-ability) * Taloraan (from Rogue Squadron, flying units required) *** Void Station (a general space station with access to the outside, with not-visible poison flowers to discourage infantry wandering out there; overall good, but really small and unfit for an actual level, maybe a mission? Plus lag due to the flowers)

[space] *** Ison Corridor (a lot of nebulae dividing the map in half, it might actually make a better multiplayer map, this map is kind of interesting, actually, because it really hampers the use of Frigates, Capital Ships, and Supers, making hit and run types like the Correllian Gunboat much more useful) ** Dustrillion/Dubrillion (Dustrillion has no land as a gas giant, and in my personal mod, the watery Dubrillion is the land half, whereas the space half is Dustrillion, the Dubrillion land map isn't that great, like Ison Corridor, this map is full of nebulae, except that I consider this the worse of the two)

... space maps aren't my strength.

I am working on maps for: Prefsbelt IV Cato Neimoidia Csilla (redone map of the Alzoc III intimidation, but expanded) Kessel (brand new version, looks very nice in some aspects, but lacking in others)

There are some other planets I'd like to work on as well, such as a new Dathomir, Dubrillion, Yaga Minor, Yinchorr, Ralltiir, and New Cov...

Any suggestions, requests, or anyone in need of one of these planets?

(Fest used props made by people other than me, they are free-release, however, if you are interested in the map, I'll list the credits then). Actually, I'll probably list who they are (and which models) in a later post, but not right now, since I'm off to bed. ;)

Those are pretty cool, are they FOC versions I assume? Are you going to be uploading them or are they for a mod?

They'll be free-release at request. ;)

I will probably upload a couple though anyway. Particularly Fest (which was for FotG - and still is, it's just I'm not sure that mod is going to be finished...).

They are all single player and all for FoC. Some require my coding, but it's mostly just a little props coding and such.

I'd be interested in the Chorax and Duros maps :D Also in the near future (hopefully soon) I'm going to free release a map prop pack that will simply be composed of reskinned props that will give mappers a little more variety. It will be similar to my Snow props pack (which will be included), but they'll be much better than the snow props. My reskinning was bad when I made those, especially after seeing my snow ruins in the Fest map :p I'm also going to release a free release unit reskin pack (for those interested), and I know what some of you are thinking "that reskins are nothing special" but since I can't model, and can't afford 3ds max even if I could model. Reskinning is the best I can do for the community, so take it or leave it. :) So expect those sometime soon after I get more work done on my current mod projects. EDIT: Also when looking at the title of the thread (Xandofarian), it sounds as if its a sect of the Rastafari :p

Personally, I love your re-skins. People should do more re-skinning I think, because it really adds as much variety as any amount of new models do... Well, depending on the types.

Actually, yeah, after I typed "Xanofarian" I thought to myself "Do I really want my maps to be called 'Xanofarian'? That sounds absolutely retarded... Like safari or something..." :p

The Duro map looks nice, though still needs work. The Chorax map is really sort of plain in terms of texture, unfortunately.

I've been working on Cato Neimoidia, here's a picture of a city-bridge thus far:

The vehicles are there for scale referencing. I think I might actually use the bothan spawn house for the neimoidians, except that it'll spawn neimoidians, not bothans. I will smooth out the edges eventually too. :P

sorry, very very quick question, but where do you put your maps when you play them? cause no matter what tutorial i follow or whatever someone tells me it wont work, i'm thinking its my game or something. =(

These are beautiful maps! Now when you say they are "single player," do you mean Galactic Conquest? Where can I find these to download?

Yes, they're all for galactic conquest. I semi-fail at making multiplayer. They aren't uploaded for download... yet.

Which ones did you want, because many of them are semi-ready. Raxus Prime, Polus, and Fest are all 'ready' but before I upload them I'd like to make one or two changes to them.

Yes it is. The reason for that is that I want the city-bridge to be a key part of the level, not just background.

After I started making this planet, I noticed there was one underway for the RaW mod (though it likely would never be 'shared' with other mods). It had models of the city-bridges, which looked very nice, but kind of bothered me because they weren't really a part of the level's gameplay as a result, just nice background decor. What I wanted to do was make a level where the city-bridges were important to the level. In this case, a very large city-bridge connects the two 'defensive' halves of the level. The bridge will look more like the left side than the right because, as you can see, the left is a lot smoother. I have an anal-retentive eye for detail. :p
