Well, I've been trying out different modded files, made sure to keep copy of original data file, made sure to switch to original data before doing new mod. However, I somehow goofed up. I accidentally mixxed 2 mods, but instead of deleting it and copying the original data back to it, I decided to uninstall it and reinstall the game. Yea, I'm an idiot, I know. Anyways, it went through the uninstall proccess, then I went to install it, and everything went well, I restarted my comp, and the files and everything were still the same on there. (the modded stuff) So I deleted the mod, put in the original data, and tried to start the game. Now even though it's all installed, whether I put in the cd, or go to it through the menu, or other ways of starting the game, it says "Install" instead of "Play". If I click it, it says: "Do you really wish to remove all these files" *something like that* If I click no, it closes the window and does nothing, if I click yes, it brings up the uninstallwizard, 2-3 seconds later it will say it's finished when it hasn't done anything. And everything acts just as goofy as before. So I tried one more thing, I erased the data, placed the original data, then added a mod. It works..........but only in safe mode. And as you all know, graphics are HORRIBLE in safe mode. I've run out of ways to fix this, I'm not a hardcore modder like most of y'all, but with some instructions and help I can fix it. Any and all advice would be VERY appreciated :D :bows: :bows: :bows: Thanks in advance, Rob

also, if I click the "install" button after going through the Start menu, it will say there's no disc in the cd drive

alright, lol, I just tried what you told me to.......at first I thought it was going to work. Then once it got to the window where it starts to install....it disappears, and a small box appears saying "Are you sure you want to completely remove blah blah blah." So yea....I'm still at square one :( I don't wanna have to get a new small hard drive just for one game..........I'm clueless on what to do now.

wow, ok.....found osmething interresting. Was browsing through my folders and found a folder labled "Uninstall Information" and a folder called "InstallShield Information" Well, I looked in them and the Uninstall Informationfolder is empty, went to the other one and it has 5 files in it, I tried out each one, and one of them has the setup for installing EAW, I clicked it twice, and the "Are you sure you want to remove" window came up........The main file also is "cut" ie. transparant, able to paste somewhere else. I'm wondering if I should try to delete this whole file, then try installing it. I'll keep you all posted.

Ok............it worked However I goofed it up again somehow.................. I copied and pasted the files for EAWenhancedmodv2. And now it goes to the logo screen, then does nothing. The only response I get is when I hit the escape key, it closes out and the "EAW has encountered a problem" error. I put it back the way it was, tried putting in different mods to see if they would work........but they all do the same thing now. I tried deleting it, but it's too big for my recycle bin, and I don't want to chance losing everything I could use to work with. Tried renaming it, but that does no good. The reason I tried all this is because it wont do anything when I try to uninstall it. I uninstalled it once, reinstalled it, and still does all that and wont uninstall again. HELP PLEASE!

ok, ignore this thread, all I need is the original Data file to fix it, just need to find it first.
