So I recently re-installed FoC, and it wouldnt launch, claiming there was some xml parsing error. On closer analysis, the install folder had no Data directory. Luckily, there was a second folder - "Lucasarts/Forces of Corruption(2)" which had all data files. After copying those across, FoC now launches, but with no audio - in the options tab of the main menu, the Audio menu is blanked and cannot be accessed To add insult to injury, the game won't uninstall. No matter how I try running the uninstall, it instantly says "Setup.exe has stopped working" and stops.

Any ideas as to what on earth happened, and/or how to fix it?

Well... in the uninstall programs window there should be a repair option. If there isnt, then just delete the forces of corruption folder and all its contents. Then just reinstall.

Update (sorry for double post)

It seems FoC was installed in two different directories, with the files split between the two. After copying everything into one directory the game runs perfectly, but still won't uninstall...

Incidentally, this happened just after I got a new video card - has anyone else experience issues with any of ATI's HD4600 series cards?

And @ Mobius: there is no repair option, and surely deleting the folder wont uninstall the game, hence it wont be able to be reinstalled?

The exact same thing happened to me about 6 months ago. Unfortunately, I couldn't fix the problem till my PC crashed. I blame Vista.
