I am using milkshape right now to model, but i have heard good things about 3d studio. Is there a plugin you need to import and export models through 3d studio??

Can't really say.. I haven't used 3D Max so I dunno what file type it uses.. Milkshape has an .xsi import now Maybe it's the import/export called : "3D Studio ASC" :uhm:

I know 3dmax has a xsi import and export. But i was more wondering about the glm files. Do i really need glm files or is it just an "either or" situation??

Did you read Spacemonkey's tutorial?? He explains how to make models and everything. Go here: http://www2.ravensoft.com/jedioutcast/ And look for the Modelling tutorial by Time "Spacemonkey" Appleby

I am currently using 3D Studio Max R3.1 which it does have a export and import feature but it only imports it's older ver. projects..like the following .3ds, .prj, .ai, .dwg, .dxf, .ige, .igs, .iges, .shp, .stl, .wrl, .wr2 thats all of em (Remember this is for R3.1) there might be more in the newer ones....
