For the v2 of Midgar, theres quite a few seperate areas such as the main HQ, slums, Battle Square, chocobo ranch and racetrack - you get the idea. Anyway, heres the question. The areas I'd want to have different music for are all seperated by vis (If thats of any relevance) but I'm not sure how to do it.
Basically i want different music for different sections like the battle theme for the battle square and chocobo them for the ranch e.t.c. How can i do this? Its for Multiplayer remember :)

I don't remember a map that has ever changed it's music inside the game on it's own. In SP JO, when you encouter enemies, the music would change. But your idea might require some coding =/ In the map called "TMBJ," they mixed a mess of music together to make a 10 minute theme for the map. That's not what you have in mind, but it's an alternative. This is another idea, but it's extremely out of there . . . For your map, you can use other sounds as substitutes as music. For example, if your character jumps, he or she grunts or something. What if, ( like I said this is a really weird idea) you used an object in the map, replaced the sound the object normally makes, with the music you wish to have in each area? That idea has flaws, but you can try thinking outside the box =o I suggest looking up some programing for something like that . . .
I was trying to use target speakers, but if i do that ill be leaving it until then end because, well id need a ton of them :p

I'm very sure you could do a script that would alter the music variable. I'll look into it.

I was gona ask this same thing. You mean like in the Shinra Mansion map for jk2? it has a Sephiroth theme upstairs, but when you go down to too the cellar it gradualy changes, it's well done :P
