Hey all im new here and i came here cause of that damn jk2 radiant... need help with it...ok well i have been following http://richdiesal.jedioutcastmaps.com/main/index.html

his tutorials.... I just made a simple map as follows in lesson 4, but when he says, "Now up in the BSP menu, choose "BSP FullVis." A DOS windows will pop up. Don't worry if it sits there for a while - even a basic room like this may take up to two minutes depending on what kind of system you have.

When it's done, you'll get a report of how long the process took and any errors in the Status Bar (shouldn't be any errors!). For now, run Jedi Knight 2 SP. Press the ~ Key (Shift + `) once the game loads to bring down the console. Type in the command devmap firstmap."

It doesnt creat the BSP File....

then you have his help site... http://richdiesal.jedioutcastmaps.com/tutorials/commonerrors.html

In the top section that is my problem, but i have done everything he has said atleast 10 times, and im sick of this major pain in the butt!!!!! Plz post some helps for me

i wanna test my map....

(P.S.: when i type devmap (name) in councle of jk2 SP it says cannotfind)

He said save it as "firstmap.map" into your gamedata/base/maps directory. Then BSP it with Full-vis. Open the console and type "Devmap firstmap" Note: you do not put "devmap firstmap.bsp". Console: Shift + the button left of 1

firstmap may be replaced with whatever you like as long as it includes no spaces. E.g. The Guy.map It would have to be something like The_guy.map

It could be an error like a missing texture or something, but as you have tried 10 Times, I very much doubt it.

Try making a room of your own and if it makes the BSP file, then it's the map you made (doubted with 10 tries). If that map is doing just the same, it's probebly an error caused by something in the editor. If this continues, try reinstalling Radiant. You will lose no data of maps or recent designs and most settings. I suggest you keep a backup of your Tools folder if you download both SDK and the JK2 Editing Tools.

Note: Sometimes maps just do this, it happened to one of mine. It never fixed no matter how much I edited, copied into another map, etc.

See what all of this does.

P.S. "Shift + ~" Is incorrect. I used to think it was this button which it is. [~ = #] "~" should be replaced with "¬" or "`".
