Hey all :cya: Over the past three years (yes, THREE years) I've been working on a mod for JK2 that replaces all the default weapons with all the Halo 1 weapons (yes, ALL the Halo one weapons). Since porting is a no-no on filefront, I've spent that time creating and tweaking and re-tweaking my own models to look as much like the real Halo ones as possible. I think I've come pretty darn near perfect now, and I'm ready to put them in game. Problem is, I can't seem to get it done right. I've read a few things about getting your guns in-game, but they weren't very comprehensive and didn't really tell me anything new. So now I'm a bit lost. I can get the model to work fine in-game; its position is fine and the bullets come out where they should, but the textures don't apply (yes, I did create a .skin file and apply it using MD3View). Also, the gun only works in 3rd person. I've made both MD3 and GLM versions of the pistol so that it SHOULD work in both 1st and 3rd person, but it doesn't. Oh by the way, I'm using GMax (I have 3DS Max too, but I use GMax cuz the MD3 plugins don't work with 3DS Max 9). I got the trial of Milkshape since that was the reccomended thing for the GLM stuff, but it didn't seem to help anything. Surely someone out there has successfully created a weapon before and could tell me how they did it?? Please?
