How do I put the damage WAY up to have a more realistic sword fighting experience where everyone dies with just 1 shot, or MAYBE 2 shots at the VERY most? Is it possible to just do that much? Is it a simple process?

g_saberdamagescale controls lightsaber damage. 1 is the default value.

g_saberdamagescale 5

would give you 5x normal saber damage.

well, one slice with a saber would put you out of commision in real life, and i think 5x the normal damage should do it

Thanks. So this will also work against me as well as with me? (meaning the multiplayer computer bots also take 5 times the damage?)

Hmmm...This isn't working for me. Do I need a patch for the game? I'm using the original install of Jedi Knight II: Outcast. I typed in "devmap ffa_yavin" to get to that map, and then typed the code given (g_etc).

Then you aren't doing something correctly. Try

/set g_saberdamagescale 10

or

/seta g_saberdamagescale 10

You can also just enter /g_saberdamagescale without a value and it will tell you what the current setting is.

Believe me, it works (with 1.04, don't know about 1.02 or 1.03). It was one of the reasons my JK2 server (Chop Shop INCREASED SABER DAMAGE) was the most popular JK2 server in the world in the summer of 2003. My servers always had increased saber damage to give saberists a chance against gunners.

And yes, it increases the damage of ALL lightsabers, including the bots'.
