Ok. So i'm currently working on a skin I have come so close to completing, I have finished the model_default part of the skin, but i need help with the model_blue and model_red parts, as I want them to differ from the default Part of the skin. Ok, here's what I want to do, but do not know how to. The skin is sort of a remake of Jan. - stary9jp.jpg As you can see here. This is the model_default part of the skin, for the red and blue skins, I basicaly want to cut that hair off, and use the ' Jan Ponytail ' For the hair instead. I have no idea how to do this. .. Would anyone be willing to explain, or better yet, Fix this for me? Very Very Much Appreciated. Thanks. <3 Bum

It would be better to teach him to do it himself.

Give a man a fish, he is satisfied for a day. Give a man a fishing pole and he is satisfied for ever.

Bummy, I'm going to assume you're using ModView to view the model, yes? If so, find the names of the surfaces you want on/off then turn them off in your blue/red skin files. You can do this by replacing the directory with "*off" Original: "robe,models/players/somerandommodel/robe.tga" New: "robe,*off" You want to turn the hair you're using off and turn the ponytail on. Is that the Leela model? I can't tell. If you want to talk to me on AIM/MSN feel free. I'd honestly rather teach you than do it for you, like the guy above. EDIT: Shoot, I forgot what forum I was on... hehe. Okay, Outcast is a little different than Academy (which is what I just explained to you x.x). Using modview, get the model set up the way you want it. Then go to "write script". This should give you a file with the extension ".mvs" which you can open in notepad. Open it and take a look. It should have several entries that say "surfaces_on" or "surfaces_off". Here's what you want to do: open up notepad, and make it look like the following: surfOn "name1,name2,name3" surfOff "name1,name2,name3" Save this file as whateveryouwant.surf (make sure to save as all files!) Now if for some reason I remembered this wrong, let me know and I'll look it up for you. Sorry about the mistake, hehe.
