Hello there... This would be my first post... Idownload form the site alot and have been playing for a long time, and I've been playing though SP after beating it, as my own character, Mindless Stormtrooper, using the mod that changes Kyle into a Stormie. One of the aspects about Mindless is that his lightsaber is yellow, and I'd like to change the sabercolor without having to always go into the console and put the cheats in (Besides, in cutscenes, it's blue already). Is there an already exsisting mod that can change the sabercolor or is there an easy way I could make one? If anyone could assist me, I would be awfully greatful. Thanks in advance. hmmmm well this is a maybe maybe you could edit one of the colors of the sabers to yellow

In a word Mindless, yes you can. :) It's simple really, but it involves you editing the kyle.npc a bit. Heres what you do:

1) Using either winzip or pakscape (which I suggest you get as pakscape is a invaluable tool) and open the assets1.pk3 file with it located here: (WHERE YOU INSTALLED JA)/GAMEDATA/BASE/ASSETS1.PK3

2) Next, go to this directory within the assets1.pk3: EXT_DATA/NPCS/KYLE.NPC and drag the KYLE.NPC file to your desktop. Opening this .npc file you will see this:

3) Just after the lines "saber kyle" and "saber kyle_boss", you need to add this line to: "sabercolor blue" (or whatever color you choose to use). Next save the file itself.

4) Then it's just a matter of putting the "altered" KYLE.NPC back into the assets1 file where you got it in the first place. Say yes to overwriting the file when asked if you want to do so. Now in the game and in the cutscenes, kyle's saber should be the color you specisified.

Make sure you make backups of any file you alter though, so if you have made a mistake, you still have the original file to start over again.............. I hope this helps. Why thank you very much, Elvencrest. I appreciate it very much. I had Pakscape on my older computer, but not this one... I'll have to redownload it. Think I could try making this into a pk3 to download on the site? How would I go about doing that? Should I even bother? heheh. Once again, thanks for the help. [Mindless out.]

Darn. Okay, I apologize for double posting, But I can't seem to find an edit button.

Here's the deal. I got Pakscape, cracked open assets1.pk3, found nothing like you described. But I opened assets0.pk3, and found an exy_data folder, and then an npcs.cfg, and am trying to edit that now... Well, I'll update if this works.

And once again, I am really, REALLY sorry for double posting...
