Ok, this is Zemmurk Trooper again, and, seeing that the JK2Files poll has Jedi Knight as the game that needs an update the most, and considering that i have been working on JK maps for a while, i was wondering if I should do a JedKnight mod for JO (then possibly JA) with SP maps and MP maps per release per level, with weapons/sounds/effects from the original game. (It may sound like im ripping off DF mod, but i really want to do this). I fanyone wants this to happen, and/or if anyone wants to help in the mod, post/email/AIM me. Zemmurk

Sounds like nice idea, but then I wonder how they could make that if they do it for JA, they should find a way to make that dual sabers etc are not usable.

But still, nice idea.

Well, thats why i say JO right now, cause i am 200% more comfortable with mapping/modeling/skinning in JO than JA, and JA will probably come out later than the JO for that reason also.

Ok, this is what i currently need for the team: Mapper (I already take up one) Modeler/Skinner (Player models, weapon models, ingame models or otherwise) Sound Master (goes through the net or JK to get sounds and music) Video Master (goes through the net or JK to gather cutscenes, video, etc) Scripter (dont have a specific need for one now, but i know ill defintely need one later) Site Master (can you setup/maintain the mod site? this is for you) 2D Designer (for HUD, textures for mapping, etc) BETA tester (playing the game is different-you have to play the level, check for bugs, missing textures, and anything else thats a problem, like things that are out of place, etc.) Anybody that could help, or anything i left out of the list, postit Zemmurk

There's already one being made for JA. You might just want to look into joining their team - no use in splitting the efforts for something this involved.

Inyri, can you please link me to see what there mod is (post, site, whatever) so that i can see whether i would join their team or whether i would still go on with my project and go on with creating a team (not to be stubborn, but to see if what im shooting for might be better or whether i really want to use JO as a basis instaed of working with JA)(Im mor comfortable wirth Outcast) Zemmurk

Also, if you have time, vote. About having it on JA, i have all of the software for JA, even though i will release JO then JA-again, i promise for JO, and as of JA there is a 95% chance of me doing JA version release. If anyone has a model for weapons and/or players, or if you are in progress or plan to make a weapon (including sabers) of player model, comtact me. I have tried contacting the people that i found player models from, and i understand that some dont do or care about this type of work anymore, and most of them had AOL or Yahoo or whatever email back saying the EMIAL accounts dont work, but if those two acceptions dont apply and i email you, i will put them in the mod (with the credits). Wish I had the link to that mod, but I don't have it saved at the moment. You could probably find it in a google search, though.

Ok, ive looked and got what i think you were describing. It looks like they're enhancing the original JK with JA/JO graphics. The thing is, some of the updates, um, lets say dont really look like a real-life person, like shown in JO/JA. Also, what im doing is redoing the game as a mod in JO/JA (the thing is, "redoing" is basically what the DFMod is doing, which is using the engine and all from JO/JA and making the game over again with the same map/model/storyline layout) Still, anyone can still become a recruit if they have what ive listed above. Zemmurk P.S.-What video format does JO/JA use for cutscenes in a mod, since i extracted the original JK cutscenes and i have no idea what format to change them to.
