Lots of people have been looking for JK2 Tutorials, to help them learn how to make their own maps. Right now, the only comprehensive set of JK2-specific tutorials for beginners that I know of, are ones written by author '007'.
Having obtained his permission, I am releasing all his tutorials in one complete package for downloading.
To comply with his wishes, the package will be released through file-sharing clients only. This means programs like eDonkey or Kazaa. Sorry, but out of respect to '007', I can't upload it to a web site.
I hope this release method works out, because I'll initially be the only one hosting a copy of the file, until it spreads. If worse comes to worst, e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll put together a list of people whom I'll e-mail the file to.
Don't be surprised if I don't e-mail it to you right away. I want to collect at least 20 names first, so I only have to e-mail the file every so often. Also, don't expect me to respond to every e-mail you send, if you have a question or comment. If you have something meaningful to say, I'll try to get back to you.
After this has been released, I don't want to stop there. The plan is to add any, and all, useful editing information into ONE download. Editing info is scattered across all sorts of web pages and forums, at the moment. There's a need to bring it all together, into one resource.
Here's how to get the file . . .
Using Kazaa: Do a search for "JK2Tuts" in the "Everything" category.
Using eDonkey: Copy and paste this link into your browser address bar. ed2k://|file|JK2Tuts_06.13.2002.zip|4161073|9a1e56fd756cd615b54c7828affc4890|
The file is named "JK2Tuts_06.13.2002.zip" and it's about 4 MB in size.
