Hey all, was wondering: I have looked into assets0.pk3, into music/(a lvl name)kejim post(for example), and have tried to replace the music file with my own. I have managed to place my own in it, and rename it to the same name the old music file had. like yavfinal_explore, etc, but for some reason, when i start the game, it says Invalid or Unsupported Sound File (yavfinal_explore.mp3). But the wierd thing is, not all songs do that. When i tried to usea Nirvana song, it wouldn't work, but when i used Outkast's Hey Ya, it worked. If someone knows why only some music works, and not others, plz help. ^_^ It might because of file size, but i doubt it.

The problem is likely with the format of the mp3 files. JK2 (and presumably JA) require mp3s to be sampled at 44.1 khz and (I believe) in stereo.

I don't really get that, but if i send you one of my mp3's, could u format it for me? Or is this a size issue? And what do you mean by in Stereo? I just ripped some CDs, and took their mp3's and replaced them with the ones in my pk3. (inside my pk3 i have music/yavfinal_explore, which i tried to replace with a song from white stripes, and it worked, but it didn't work with a song from Nirvana. :(

all you need is a mp3 to wav converter which can also sample the mp3's to 44100. Then put it in a folder and pk3 it:D

It means theres different qualities of different files. The game probebly has a set quality or something. (Not that I fully understand this, but I know what i'm talking about.)

If you on a computer game, some games ask what type such as stereo. I may be wrong, but I am guessing that it's the way it comes out of the speakers. :uhm:

I don't know how to change this or anything because I'm not that good with music either. Maybe :google: can help. :D
