PK3 problems Can anyone pls help me on the following issues:

Winzip won't open the .pk3 files, neither will zipcentral

zipcentral - says that there's not enough memory winzip - thinks i am making a new archive, and wants to add 7 files for some reason?

Then when I downloaded the SDK file and Update, i tried to run the model viewer and it wouldn't open.

I really want to work on my fav model/skin (Jedi_trainer) and make a skin for myself.

Please if anyone can help, either reply here or email me at: primalgrafix

hmm thats strange, have you tried right clicking on the pk3 and choosing "open with/winzip" or "open with/choose program" and choose winzip from the list?

Well to start, i rightclicked open with, and you had to choose a program...i chose my winzip equivalent of zipcentral

then i got those errors, so i removed zipcentral and installed winzip..then i went into folder options and changed the association...

also how can i revert all files to be normal....not winzip, after I did that now the only thing to view them is by using winzip....sigh this klinda sucks...seems my computer is losing some cache memory or something

Dududduduuuuuuuu

Darth Micke to the rescue.....U shouldnt use winzip neither winrar----the best app u could use is pakscape...

U can download it from Richdiesal's siteHere

(just click on lesson one, scroll down to the bottom and there is a list of apps, pakscape is there)

Packscape won't asso the ext when it installs?

Well theres a few ways of doing it manually, but it's gets dicey, haven't had to do that for awhile.

The quickest is get into the pref of winrar or winzip and uncheck the asso.

reboot and install packscape, then reboot again. if that doesn't change them then you'll have to do it the hard way.

pardon me for being dumb, but what's so wrong with just installing winzip with default settings, and then right click and open as?? it has worked on every comp i've tried it on and believe me i've seen some sitty stuff

BTW kalik it's nice to see another player who can't wait for SWG to be released;)
