Okay so Im switching characters in sp and everything was going fine until I started switching the reborns. At first I ran into the problem of reborns using the same folder but i fixed that by editing the npc.cfg. So I have seperate models/skins for each of them and everything is fine except their sabers appear in the middle of their bodies instead of in their hands! Any help please.

When you did the folder thing, i think you might have to edit the .npc file of it as well.

I did. I changed the npc.cfg so that it read stuff out of the new folders. But still there are sabers in the middle of the guys instead of their hands.

I really dont know then, all iknow is that when you dont set a tag for the blade on the saber it does that. But this appears to be completly unrelated to that, unless you changed the sabers they use.

This exact problem happens to me and it really is annoying. In the npcs.cfg file, let's say you want to make the jan model appear to be a reborn. You would just replace the "model jan" with "model reborn" right? Well, for some reason it dosn't like this. With any model, if you simply tell it to use a different model it screws up. What you have to do (and this is kinda long, so it stinks) is take the reborn model and skin files, put them into the jan folder and reload them into the pk3. This will make the jan model BE the reborn model. It's the only way I know to make it work, 'cause I enjoy changing the characters around a bit too :)

i´m having the same problem as the op. i need to know about making the reborn look like something else, not making something else look like reborn..... i´m using the more reborn mod in which the all reborn models are used, i.e. reborn acrobat/forceuser/fencer/boss, etc. the method i used is to change the names where it says "playerModel" in the npc file. at first i had the lit sabers in the middle of the models body and was being attacked by an invisible saber. i noticed it was a desann hilt so i tried changing the "class" in the npc file. now the sabers are unlit, the hilt(somehow not the desann hilt anymore) is still in the middle of the body, and the models punch me and do no damage.
