Would it be possible to replace the lightsaber with a real sword? I mean it would be pretty cool to be swinging a longsword or something around in this game. Maybe a model replacement in multiplayer?

Would it be possible also to add a scabbard to the player model so instead of turning the saber off, you simply sheath the sword? I know nothing at all about modding this game. This was simply an idea I thought of and thought would be really, really cool if some one made it a reality.

Please no flames, valid comments only if you will.

I agree with you. That would be insane and would refelect the old republic SITHs with their dark force swords.

This would take alot of effort in re-animating the characters in the game for resheathing swords.

Really cool idea though. Hopefully somebody could do it.

Lol actually I'm making a gunblade - from Final fantasy 8...I'm all but done except for one JA problem.... saber_down.jpg Sheathing the sword would take way too much work...but you'll be able to run around with a sword :) I'm hopefully gonna release more Final Fantasy stuff, I may do Seifer's gunblade next followed by the oh so pretty blue Lionheart :)

First you get GMAX or 3DS Max (GMAX is free BTW). Then you get plenty of reference shots, finally you learn to draw and create textures on PC's :P For instance for this gun I had to draw this.... griever1.jpg Uses vectors in PSP, easier than I thought it would be TBH...would have been impossible without a reference image though.

I use 3DS Max, blade was a plane (mesh) which i shaped...you can use curves etc but for low poly modelling you should start with a box or plane and extrude etc.

NICE, I also like the idea, i was thinking about it yesterday, lol. it would require a lot of reanimating tho and would be pretty tough to do.
