Does anyone know how to make saber trails longer?
Like in jka when u do a special attack.

This would be a very nice mod to do, and also i would like a mod where the blaster point marks do not disappear after time flys, because me and my friends were trying to write with them and it was difficult to do this. I would also like to see someone purpose like that! :naughty:

Both require coding.
In JKA, Saber trails are handled in cg_players.c, and I'm not sure how you'd change the time decals stay there...it's probably engine side.
And I'm not sure any coders are still working on JK2...Maybe that Phanto guy could help.

I know how it can be done, but its not easy. There are several checks which are used to limit the saber trail. Dissable the checks and you can change how long the trail will last. I don't have the source code with me but im pretty sure it made these checks.
Is the player attacking? Is the player using force speed? Has the trail been active for longer than a certain time?
I tried changing the time, i could dissable the saber trail shorter or remove it but i couldnt make it last longer. I think its because when the attack finishes so does the trail. I guess this would all be easier done in 1.04, in 1.02 it was kinda tricky modifying the jk2mp.exe
