I need help with skining. Really I just need a good tut and someone to explain stuff to me. I tried ready that skining tut that is on the main page but that didnt really help me. I already know how to make maps. So if anyone knows how to skin but would like to map, we can do a little bizness. If you would like to check out my map u can find it at http://jedioutcastmaps.com the map file is called Training Experience (training_xp) here is a pic of the map if you would like to check it out before u dl it. although jedioutcastmaps as a couple pics there too.

learn how to CG, remember, smudge, burn and dodge tools are your best friend, so are tablets if you can afford them, then the last thing to rememer is keep in mind the skins are flats and are to be wrapped around the model so everything looks stretched

yes if you only see a weapon or a sabre you messed up your .skin file

remember the paths have to be correct in the skinfile

eg: hips,models/players/leroy/leroy_legs.jpg

the bold things are the things you should check, the path and extension has to be correct according to your folders

what do u mean by skin file? Do u mean like if i used luke then everything should be in the Luke models/players/Luke folder when im done? is the .skin file the file that say model_default_a name.skin? and if so where do i put that. Oh i think i get it. So if i use Luke and I change his legs around. When i out it back into the file it has to say Luke_legs? But i thought it was supposed to say Blade for instance if that was the character you were going to make.
