There are quite a lot of people out there who need help with modding and/or skinning on a Mac. I have posted this thread as a help page for people who want me to tell them how to do whatever. :deal:

I don't visit here that often, but i will do my best anyway.

As i never say: Ask and you shall recieve...

To M1GarandSharpShooter

I use Stuffit app called DropZip. Its free and once you have zipped up the folder you just rename the extension to .pk3 and your done.

Now to JediMax

For modding (the .cfg and efx etc files) you can use SimpleText (if you use OS9) or use the app TextEdit that comes with the system. If you need a program for skinning i use ArcSoft PhotoImpression. I dont know if you have to buy it, as i got a free edition with my digital camera. if you need it i can send it to you. Whatever you do then i suggest downloading a program called PakRat. It is a free program which lets you browse and extract the contents of .pk3 and such files without having to unzip them. i will find the url and post it soon.

Here i found the URL. Go to http://pakrat.fragland.net/download.html

You can also view .md3 models, but not .glm i dont think. As well as viewing txt and jpg + tga files. Ah, you can view .bsp files apparently...

It is JK2 compatiable, even though it isnt listed on the site
