Is it possible to have a mod that could control what weapons players would have?
Let's say that our clan is holding a sniper-only competition with the public, but the only way we can do that is to give people all weapons and hope that they wont use anything other then then sniper.
Of course, there are some who can't stop useing rockets...mistakes do happen and a person is killed with a thermal detonator...
So... I would like to ask if its possible to make a mod that would remove EVERY weapon the player has, and give him the specific that we wanna give him. Also something that would affect new players joining so it wouldn't have to be done manually.
[color=red]JA+[/color] works perfectly for choosing what weapons are or are not allowed on a server. Just check out the server.CFG creater on the website for some help with what does what.
Problem: this is in the Jedi Outcast forum, and JA+ is for Jedi Academy.

This is a JK2 Jedi Outcast forum, JA+ doesn't work in JK2 (Thank God). Anyway, you DON'T need a mod to do that, it's part of the game. The weapons that are available are controlled by g_weaponDisable. If you use
seta g_weaponDisable "65502"
in your server.cfg that will allow only the Disruptor rifle. If the lightsaber is still available use
seta g_saberdamagescale "0"
to make it do no damage.
If you want a really fun disruptor-based mod, try Disruption Mod.
It's a server-side mod so the players don't have to download or install anything. Everyone gets only an instagib (one-hit kill) Disruptor and unlimited ammo. It's very fun. I had a very popular JK2 Disruption Mod server for a long time, and some players played nothing but Disruption Mod. There are still some JK2 and JA disruptor instagib servers running.
