Well, now I've got a question related to weapons in general. I discovered how to change their appearance both in 3rd and 1st person, if I am right. I also found how to change fire rates and stuff to both primary and alt fires. In other words, I found the .dat file. But there are two things that I could not figure out how to modify. The first one is the damage the flash does and the second one is the speed of the flash. Can these two aspects be modified? if so, then how? I'd mainly like to know about the speed. Thanks for everything.

Those are probably hard-coded into the game. Don't know if there are any mods out there that let you change those values or not...

With "speed of the flash", do you mean projectile velocities?

yep for example, make the rifle "bolt", "projectile", "flash" "or-whatever-it-is-called" =p get to the target as fast as the disruptor projectile... or an easier example: to make the missile of the rocket launcher be as fast as a bazooka!:nodding::naughty:

I don't think if they are capable of modifying...

The SP SDK has not been released.

It is on the table, though: Map-Craft » Forums » General Discussion » Jedi Academy SDK Progress.

I think the jk2sp SDK will never be released. It seems they're going to release the jasp SDK, and that will cost them enough effort and money; I can't imagine that they'd go for the jk2sp SDK as well.

That said, the projectile velocities are just constants that can be found at certain positions in jk2gamex86.dll (and I happen to know where). Changing them would be possible by modifying the dll's bytecode. Alas, I think that is prohibited by the game's EULA, though I'm not really sure (I'm no lawyer). Now the question is, should I describe here how to do it or rather not? I won't do it unless it's endorsed by a GF moderator.
