When I was installing Star Wars Jedi knight 2: Jedi Outcast, my computer froze and now its showing that I can start the game... but nothing happens. And when I try to uninstall it... NOTHING HAPPENS:confused: PLEASE HELP!!!!
Check the destination directory. It should be something like C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast, if you didn't change the default installation path. If there are any files and/or folders there that belong to Jedi Outcast, delete them.
Now, go to Start → Run, type RegEdit and click OK to open a Registry editor. Look under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE → SOFTWARE → LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC. Look for Jedi Outcast related entries and delete them, but be careful not to delete anything else by accident.
Check also under HKEY_CURRENT_USER → Software, but there shouldn't be anything relevant there. If there is, delete it. Once again, be careful not to delete anything else by accident. If you have some other LucasArts games installed, don't touch anything related to them. Focus on Jedi Outcast entries only.
Once you're done, close the Registry editor, reboot your computer and try installing the game again.
ok now this came up in about the same spot
Feature: Default Feature Component: Default Component File: F:\JO\data2.cab Error: Data Error (cyclic redundancy check).
Check your installation disc for dirt and/or any indications of physical damage, like scratches. Clean it with something soft to remove dust, fingerprints, etc. from it. Make sure it's spotless and try again.
