Hi 2 all mappers out there ,
I have been creating a map . I know all about mapping thanx 2 Richdiesel's mapping resource . However I do not know how 2 create a lava which behaves exactly like water i.e, the surface moves sluggishly . i tried using caulk_nonsolid brush with the top and bottom textured with lava(-from imp_mine textures) but when i load the map i m stuck in the solid lava mass with behaves as a solid brush and hallofmirrors effect inside a brush ........SO please tell me how 2 create lava ( if at all possible ) like in the single player Secondly , how do i create a rounded brush ? i m not talking about a curve or a raised surface whatsoever . ......It's like this ....... picture a circle(pancake like ) of some unsignificant thickness(not radius ) . draw a hole in the center and u have a circle with a hole in it (almost like cutting a cross section of a thick cylindrical pipe ) . Please take some time and help me out . i would really appreciate any help on the said matter and thanx 4 having the patience 2 read till here . :cya:
K, f or yur first question, yu dont use nonsolid, yu use the caulk labeled "lava" and then crtl shift click the sides yu see and texture em with lava, and to yur second question, yu claim yu read the tutorial which fullly explains how to make rounded brushes:chuckle:, just make them to be curves.
Thanx 4 that ...but there is no caulk/lava ( pls note i have jk2 and not jk3 ) ....however will jk3shaders work with jk2 ? ? PLs help me regarding this... and pls tell me step by step how 2 create lava ?
