Hi

Do anybody knows a skinning tutorial for the Mac cuz' I have tried with normal tutorials but all of them need WinZip, Pakscape, etc. and they are only for Windows, or is there any software I can use instead of them??

Thanks :D

Maybe you can Stuffit, ZipIt, MacZip, or an Open Source Archive utility. All you have to do is compress it as a Zip compatible file, and then change the file extension to the one used by the game.

ZipIt. http://www.maczipit.com/

Free programs. http://www.download.com/sort/3150-2254_4-0-1-1.html

I haven't visited the JKII forums in a while, been spending most of my time in the Tech section.

There is also PakRat, a PAK/PK3 compiler for Macintosh. There's a link to it in the Tutorials & Tools thread in JA Modding & Editing, or you can look it up on google. I don't have a mac so I haven't tried it, but it may be more user-friendly than trying to figure out how to make a PK3 with a zip program.

A PK3 is a ZIP, in everyway, except for Name. All they did was change the last three letters.

As for modeling on the Macintosh, all I know of is Lightwave.

Aside from Lightwave, I did this Google search. I think there might be a tutorial on these forums, since some members use Apples for 3D Modeling on the Mac. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=lang_en&client=firefox&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aunofficial&q=Apple+Macintosh+3D+Model+program&btnG=Search

The main choices are Milkshape 3D, and 3DS Max. Which are Windows programs...

Sorry to not have anything *useful* to this message, just a question. Roddick, where do you do your online gaming? I have been wanting to duel against a Mac-JO user to see if there are any differences...tried JA's Mac version once on a Apple laptop and was hopelessly lost lol Private message me if you're interested..I'll try to put up a good fight
