A clan is a group of like-minded individuals who play together.

...Usally for fun. A lot of times clans are saber-based. Most clans are willing to help you improve. Many clans are horrible, have stupid rules, bad people, and such. A few have really nice people. Just because they have a lot of people doesnt mean that they are a good clan, so dont let that confuse you when picking one out. A clan is usally worthwhile. The good clans normally wont have any sort of saber test to get you in, but may ask you a few questions. A "Eleite" clan usally centers around saber fight, and requires a test. There are some good ones of these as well. Then theres the RP clans. They center around Role playing.

A clan is a group of people who form a kind of organization amongst themselves. They usually start off with one or two people and grow from there by recruiting more members into their clan. Most clans tend to have a website and game server dedicated to them. A lot of them also participate in games with other clans. There are certain rules and procedures they have to follow to remain in that clan. Also, they are mainly all online friends. Some are trusted more than others and hold different ranks, each one allowing them a different amount of control over the clan, its website, and its servers. Mostly, they will be willing to help you improve, as many strive to ensure their members are as good as they can make them. ...that's just based on my perspective, however, so I may not be totally correct. But that's my understanding of it.
