I was wondering if it was possible to make a Pillar fall the way the Yavin1 trees do, (also how if possible) and I was wondering how to make a NPC statue that is passive until it is ordered to "awaken" by a trigger.
thnx a bunch.
Im guessing you can either script that or make triggers for the falling...and I am pretty sure the second one is possible. Like a passive npc, it attacks if you damage it, you can change the trigger from damaging to another trigger. I think this would also require scripting.
Making any geometry fall in the way that the trees do is a matter of simple scripting.
One would put the origin point at the point of rotation *axis that the fall will use*, then create a simple script for it that moves it from its original angle to 90 degrees on the desired axis.
Also, I can see a part of my map when I look through a window at my skybox how do I prevent that from happening?
if you used skyportals, it can create a ghost image of your map if you also use a skybox around the skyportal. Its still buggy, and I guess it wont be fixed...at least not any time soon.
For the question about the sky, try using the actual brush and not the shader. (the effect won't be as neat, but it stops that error.)
Heres some great tutorial sites for you.
