ah thats a shame.. but this is the milkshape exporter right? maybe if there is a Max version then it may handle better. just a guess.
Jalecha, i'm confused. why don't you like spec on rocks or wood? everything in the world has a specular value, some things are just more shiney than others. so it's always good to experiment and get all your assets to have different levels of sheen.
i'v just seen too many examples of super shiny rocks i guess. when all the next gen consoles came out alot of the games used the new technology because they could, not because it improved the game. does that make sense?

yeah, its the Milkshape one. dunno if there is one :/ I dont think it CAN be handled differently, but perhaps if you snap everything to a grid it might work better? I doubt it though, it just seems that the exporter itself is glitchy.

thats true, altho i noticed the spec maps and it reminded me that i wouldnt use them. but your friend has used them properly and the map looks good. sorry if i sounded like i thought they did a bad job.
@ Isla the map im thinking of making will be a city scene so streets and buildings and what not. so snapping to a grid would be no problem
