So I am trying to get a vehicle in JA using 3DS Max, I imported the Stuff needed from a XSI, the XSISceneRoot and such. I am using the Hierarchy auto linker from Psyko Sith, and the bone "Pelvis" wont attach through the Hierarchy process to the Skeleton_Root, it keeps saying may create a dependancy loop. For more info, I am using 3DS Max 7, the XSI importer and Exporter from http://www.maxplugins.de/ Because Psyko's would not work. I am making an Incom T-16 Skyhopper, and really need help figuring this out. Is there any way to link these correctly? Any way around this problem?

As far as I'm aware, that plugin does not and never has worked. You simply don't import XSI to max.
select everything, click the "break links" button, up the top 2 buttons right from the "undo/redo" buttons. then try the autolinker.
and iny is correct, the importer has, to my knowledge, always been fuxed.

Umm, I got the model to compile, and it looks fine, except the skin wont show up in modview, and it does not have the list "Available Skins" or whatever it says. What should I do now?
Do you have a .skin file...?D
if the skin isnt showing up then either youve put a wrong name for the .skin file, or, the wrong paths inside that file. check for spelling mistakes.
Yeah, I checked that already, which is weird... Is there any other way that the problem could be caused? Is there some way in 3DS Max to apply textures or skin files or something?
