I've read the master sticky, and checked the tools. And to be honest, I was wondering about XSI tool. Now, I'm not too sure whether XSI does saber and player models or just one of them. But I'd like to tinker around it in. Unfortunately, the file size is 431 MB I believe. And my connection can't take it all in one sitting (It usually gets to around 300 MB and then the connection dies. :)) So, I'm wondering if anyone could take the FREE (No warez) version of XSI mod tool and upload it in parts. Because my satellite doesn't mind any filesize if it's done in parts. It just can't do it all at once strangely. :uhm:) Any help is much appreciated.

I do believe there are download managers out there that will allow you to pause your download and resume it at a later time. Whether the site you're downloading from will allow that or not is another question.

Google is your friend. :)

XSI is not so good for saber models, because there isn't an md3 exporter (yet). GMAX can more than fit the bill for weapons models though. Do tinker though. It really is some of the best (FREE!!!) software out there for this engine, if you plan on doing player models at all, or even just edit the existing ones. The fact that you can import/export to XSI is a no brainer :) Nevermind the fact that I'm trying to figure out animations better so one can animate in XSI (rather than Dragon) and get smoother custom animations. Heck, you can even import Raven's animations and play them in Mod Tool :)

I've tried download managers before. I'd start it up, start the download. Then said download would just sit there. And nothing would happen. :) I would've used them by now for XSI if I actually believed in them.

It doesn't have an md3 exporter, no, but you can export to obj and import that to gmax. From what i remember that's when you tag it and export again as md3. Just an extra step.
