How can I change the force lightning effect? Is it in an asset0x.pk3? And I wanted to make it animated, so I take it if it is in one of the .pk3's it will have several? Can I make it so that each model has a different effect for force lightning? AKA, when you are using one model, it has fire for force lightning, but if you use another, it uses regular lightning, ect.?
Second, I wanted to mess with the weapons and damaging a bit. I wanted to make it so that the attack and the damage isn't coming from the saber. I wanted to make it so that the "area that causes damage" or the "range" originates from a different place. Here, I'll explain more in this picture.
Now the red box is the area that causes damage. If your enemy touches anywhere outside of that red box, he will not be hurt.
Here in this picture, the red boxed area is projecting from the characters mouth. The area of damage has been reshaped, resized, and relocated. Is it possible to do this?
I would also like to add an effect to this area. So basically the character will spit something like fire or electricity that causes damage, he will have no other attack.
Lastly, I was wondering if someone could give me a tutorial or program for making animations.
1. The lightning effect is in assets1. You will need EffectsEd in the SDK to open it. 2. Not sure what your talking about. Its not an image sequence, its an fx file. 3. No, you cant make it so diferent models have different lighting effects. Even with coding, i cant think of how youd do that because force is universal. 4. I would have to say no. In the source, you can easily change radius and damage amount, but this spitting thing problably wont work. Mainly because the head isint a weapon model. And you cant make it so he has no other attaks. 5. Dragon Animation Tool works. Check the maser sticky. In short, a lot of what you requested is just outside what can feasibly bedone by one guy. Youd need a dedicated mod team and several experienced coders, modeler, ect. Now is the time someone else comes in and totally corrects me.
Um, SDK? What's that? I know I've heard that before you I'm probably a total noob but what/where is that?
So lightning IS editable? Great! Thank for your help!
SDK = Software Development Kit. It's on JKFiles in the Utilities->Modding Tools category.
I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.
Great! Thank you Kouen! :D
