I have a couple model requests, like swords, bows (any kind will do), and a sling, working on a TC, but I can't model at all. Help would be nice.

Another TC? Like your old one, Trinity? :p

There are some bows/crossbows out already. You just need permission, is all. Swords have been done dozens of times, and a working sling is not possible. It would need to be animated, and we can't have animated weapons yet.

FYI im reviving Trinity =P 0_0

I want more advanced ones, like more accurate looking ones. The bow jk2files got is unrealistic, the crossbow is kinda iffy. We can't have animated weapons yet? Ah, man. How does that explain the Golan Arms though? Because those cylinders bounce when you fire a shot.

Forums -> Trinity Forums - Home

A few player models would also be nice, specifically godlike ones.

The 'animated' weapons already present in JA are not actually animated, they are actually multiple models. There are tags that are animated, which is how you see the moving. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to apply this technique to other weapons, however, and even if you could it wouldn't help you make a sling.

Ah, I see. But it might aid in creating a very realistic crossbow (no offense aimed towards Inyri, I just need a different crossbow model) that the string actually comes back and snaps onto the bolt

As I said, the tags are animated, not the models themselves. Having a string snap back would require that the string be weighted to a bone, which is something weapons don't have.

darn. Well, I could use some help, not only with modeling, but a few other things not very related to modeling, like voice acting, skins, etc.

Any takers?

Maybe if you could post more information on the mod like, a name or premise perhaps...You could rally more interest. All you've given us so far is that you need medieval weapon models. And don't do the 'I want it to be a surprise' routine, that'll kill it before it starts.

I already gave you the site, that should tell you all you need to know unless you are taking it. In case you were too lazy to actually look, I'll tell you the basic, dead outline. Its similar to E:Y4, except its much, much more, uh, interesting in terms of storyline. Basicly, you play as Kyle Katarn who has been captured by the newly appointed sith lord Jaden Korr. Somehow you manage to escape your cell, and move through the Star Destroyer, find your lightsaber, and fight Jaden Korr. However, the scepter seems to have a strange effect on ships, and the Destroyer is transported to Earth, across hundreds of galaxies. But, it is a long time ago indeed. The ship crashes into Medieval Mongolia, and Kyle is accepted into the Mongol band of Genghis Khan. Weirdly enough, his Lightsaber and other futuristic technologies are gone. Eventually he finds a way out, but that part hasn't been thought over yet.
