1. How do you add music to your maps? 2. How do you add bot support to mp maps? 3. How do you round out objects? 4. How do you get a working elevator? 5. How do you do the "fall to your death" trigger on mp maps? 6. How do you get a working train? (Not really important right now though) 7. I know what it does, but why do people need to use caulk(sp?)?

1. Press 'N' when using Gtkradiant. Be sure you havent anything selected. Write "music" (Without the "") as key and "music/filename.mp3" as value. Change 'filename' to the real name of the music-file. Also, be sure you package the music file in the *.pk3. 2. Check master-sticky. 3. Check Richdiesel's tutorials in master sticky. 4. uhm.. sticky.. 5. Richdiesel's tutorials in sticky. 6. sticky sticky master sticky. 7. So the textures where they arent visible arnt rendered, since that lowers the Fps. Do caulk everything! -Trust me! One slight correction. Don't caulk everything, just every brush face that the player won't see.

Just thought I'd chime in with that. Sure, it's common sense, but I know people who actually took sentences like that literally and caulked the entire map. :clueless:

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

Thanks for the links. Richdiesal is freakin' awesome! Right now I'm reading up on trains...though he doesn't explain how to link objects.

That's covered in GtkRadiant's manual anyway.

When you're in Radiant, tap F1. It'll bring up the manual. The instruction booklet is often a very good (and in most cases, overlooked) beginner's tutorial.

It might make your life easier now, but what about the next time you have a question? The knowledgable people around here arn't going to be around here forever... It would make everybody's life easier if you would just take the time to look things up and become more knowledgable. As it says in the master sticky, you are more likely to get some help if you help yourself first. And no, I do not know the answer myself, so I cant answer your question.

Err, I'll probably be here 'til i'm 40-something... Anyway, select the entity you want to link, and press n. now put this in: key - target, value - (insert any word here) Now select the entity you want that to be linked to and do: key - targetname value - (the same word here) You'll see a line connecting the two.

There are actuallaly alot of tutorials inside of radiant. For bot support go into help - Jedi Knight Jedi Academy - Bot waypoint tutorial. You can also find tutorials on effects and scripting in there.
