i dont use max, but if there were enough people using mod tools i could record a vid in XSI on how to do it since i can do screen capture well enough on my PC.
It would be nice to have such a tutorial minilogoguy, think that doing it would make more people to know how to use XSI and so more people would use XSI Mod Tools. (at least I'd try to use it)

I wish I wouldn't sound harsh, I know the program is awesome, it's the top choice for game development, that much is a fact, I reeeeally wish I knew how to use it, at least since when I've heard Team Ninja makes their Dead or Alive chicks on XSI.
But as far as practice goes, on my eyes XSI is still just a concept. It has not enough support from its own community, too many of the tutorials I've found at XSIBASE are broken links, when I get stuck on something, takes 3 days to 1 week to figure out a solution for it (wich is never the right/ideal way to do it, just a fix), I've had to watch entire video tutorials hoping that the detail I'm looking for would be on that one (because making threads on "XSIbase> begginer forums" asking anything never got me an answer).
Takes just so damn long to find good material and learn anything about XSI that Team Ninja is pretty much dead, Koei bough TECMO and Autodesk bought Softimage. I don't even know if I want to learn about it anymore cuz by the time I do, 3ds will have most of the good stuff incorporated...
[offtopic] Team Ninja's far from dead, Koei didn't buy Tecmo. Both companies entered into a business partnership with joint infrastructure, to avoid financial difficulties and being forced out of the market by asshole conglomerates like EA and Sony.
You'll see far more independent studios forming similar alliances in order to survive, what with the recession causing havoc for smaller businesses in all industries.
Koei and Tecmo aren't run by morons, though. They know what the fans want, and that's what they'll plan on giving them. Seems to be a trait unique to Asian developers these days. [/offtopic]
I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.
well, even though autodesk owns the name and everything, the softimage team stays the same, its always gonna be faster than 3ds max, no matter what they try to do. also on the support, just use regular XSI tutorials, mod tools just has a different layout and no rendering software, everything else is the same. just post your XSI questions here like most people do with max and radiant questions, ill answer, ive been using the program for years.

And Gir, I wasn't aware pictures like that were allowed. >_>
