I recently participated in a bit of 'speed-modding' - churning out as much of a mod as I could working solidly for 24 hours.

I'd like to share the fruits of my labours, and recieve some feedback, so I've hastily erected a page on my site, where you may download the mod (under 'Mod in a Day').

http://sheelabs.gamemod.net/

The changes are many and simple and a full list may be viewed on the website. Essentially, it alters almost all of the singleplayer missions, adds new lightsabers and options, as well as a few graphical tweaks and new NPCs. There's also a multiplayer component to the mod too.

Tell me what you think! And remember, it's a mod made in less than 24 hours ;)!

If you really like your mod, feel free to submit it to jk3files. http://jediknight2.filefront.com/info/SubmitFiles

I stopped off at the forums first; I was flicking through threads, but yeah, that was the idea anyway ;)

I think you ought to put it in pk3 format rather than exe.

Indeed. Although I pity anyone who has Norton, since their computer is practically useless anyway, having it in a standard mod format would probably alleviate 0.0001% of their mod installation problems.

(Avast! Antivirus+ZoneAlarm Pro combo > Norton.) ;)

(Don't mind me, I'm just a bit pissed off with Symantec today. Had to send back my new PC because Norton messed it up within an hour of it arriving. >_> )

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

I don't have Norton, I'm using a mac, but .exe still don't work because they are windows only files. (God damn sneaky back stabbing microsoft bastards!)

Ah yes, I'd heard about Macs having issues with certain executable scripts before - it's just customary (and has been for a few years) for me to release files in that format, as there are still many budding geniuses out there who spam my forums because they refuse to read a readme file - I had great pains with this in the past. The installer happens to install more than a pk3 file mind, it also includes the shell files. Unfortunately, I only built the x86 versions of those too, so you'd still be buggered - sorry bud!

Norton shouldn't be an issue at all, although I pity anyone foolish enough to use it in the first place. It worries me that it comes preinstalled on most systems. I'm glad I knocked mine together from scratch in that regard.
